Dobrý den, ahoj!
I first visited Prague in 1990 as a student backpacker wandering around Europe. The post-revolutionary euphoria of Prague, as well as the ease of life I felt in Europe in general, made a deep impression on me, so as soon as I finished my Bachelor's (in English, of course) I moved to the Czech Republic permanently. After living in Prague for two years, my (then) Czech wife and I both moved to the smaller town of Cesky Krumlov. At the time, the town hadn't been discovered yet and was still preparing for its future as a tourist destination. I began working closely with the town's major institutions such as the town offices, museums, art galleries, and the castle. During the daytime I taught English at a local elementary school and in evening I led adult classes. I was personally involved in the organization of the town and castle's first major tour arrivals, the first Baroque Theater performances, and the beginnings of the town's post 1990's developments. I was lucky not only to have witnessed the transformation of Cesky Krumlov from a "diamond in the rough" to the bustling destination it is today, but also to have been part of the whole process.
Over the past 30 years, I've developed an intimate relationship with the town and its history - maybe I've even become a small part of the town's history itself. Let me show you around the town, take you into the Castle, and give you an exclusive tour of one of the world's most valuable (and most beautiful) historical theaters.
